4 New Hatchbacks Launching Soon

Hatchbacks are a popular choice for first-time car buyers, but their market share has declined due to various reasons. Only a few brands still offer affordable hatchbacks. Recently, Maruti launched the updated 2026 Baleno in the market at Rs 6.9 lakh. Here’s a list of four new hatchbacks expected to hit the market soon:
Toyota Glanza FL
Maruti’s recent launch of the Baleno facelift suggests similar updates for the Toyota Glanza. It is anticipated to feature:
- Minor cosmetic changes
- Level 2 ADAS
- Ventilated seats
- 360-degree camera
- HUD
- 9-inch touchscreen
- Six airbags
Engine: 1.2-litre, Z12E-series, three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol, offered with manual and AMT gearbox options.
All-New Hyundai i20
The popular i20 is set for a major overhaul with the upcoming fourth-generation model. Expected features include:
- Crossover-inspired design
- Dual 12.3-inch screens
- New steering wheel
- Connected-car features
- Wireless charging
- Vertically placed climate-control buttons
- Level 2 ADAS
Engine: 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol, with no diesel option.
All-New Hyundai Grand i10
Hyundai has confirmed the launch of the new-generation Grand i10 Nios in 2027. Anticipated changes include:
- New platform and extensive design updates
- Updated cabin with features like automatic climate control, larger infotainment screen, electric sunroof, ventilated seats, cruise control, etc.
- Same 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, available with manual and AMT gearbox options, possibly including a CNG option.
Maruti Baleno CNG AMT
With growing CNG popularity, Maruti is introducing an automatic transmission option for the Baleno CNG. Expected launch in 2027.
