News
SUVs and Sedans Under ₹10L
Ola Electric has taken a dig at Ather Energy’s newest electric scooter, the Konarc, shortly after its launch. The social media post compares various aspects of the two scooters, all priced at ₹99,999 ex-showroom, highlighting their differences subtly.
Key Comparisons:
- Range: Ola’s S1Z boasts a claimed range of 301km on a single charge, thanks to its large 5.1kWh battery pack, while the Konarc offers a range of up to 200km, depending on the variant.
- Battery Size and Capacity: While the Konarc comes in six variants with different battery sizes, all but the top-end model have capacities below 3kWh.
- Under-Seat Storage: The S1Z offers 34 liters of storage, while the Konarc has slightly less at 31 liters.
- Warranty: Both scooters come with a 3-year or 40,000 km warranty, but the specific terms differ slightly.
Past Trolls:
This isn’t Ola’s first dig at Ather. On August 28th, Bhavish Agarwal, CEO of Ola Electric, announced the S1Z and took a subtle jab at Ather’s Konarc, referring to it as just "metal body with a fancy name."
