5 Upcoming Mahindras With Launch Timelines: From Thar Facelift to Vision S

Mahindra has established a strong presence in the Indian automotive market with a diverse range of internal combustion and electric models. The company is set to expand its offerings further, with several new launches in the pipeline. Here’s a look at five upcoming Mahindra models with their expected timelines.
Mahindra Thar Facelift: September 2026

The iconic three-door Thar is getting a significant facelift in September. This update is expected to incorporate design elements and features from the ROXX, including:
- Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)
- Automatic climate control
- 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster
- Ventilated front seats
- Premium Harman Kardon audio system
On the outside, the facelifted Thar will feature:
- ROXX-inspired grille
- LED projector headlamps with C-shaped DRLs
- Updated LED tail lamps
- Redesigned bumpers
- New wheels
The mechanicals are expected to remain unchanged, with the SUV continuing to offer three engine options: 2.0L turbo-petrol, 2.2L diesel, and a smaller 1.5L diesel.
Mahindra XUV 7XO Hybrid: November 2026
Towards the end of 2026, the XUV 7XO will receive a new strong hybrid petrol powertrain. This version is expected to launch in November 2026, utilizing a hybrid setup based on the 2.0L turbo-petrol engine. The battery size, electric motor output, and combined power and torque remain to be disclosed. There are also rumors suggesting the introduction of a smaller 1.5L petrol engine in the hybrid setup, focusing on improved fuel efficiency without compromising performance. The company aims for around 30 kpl, with real-world mileage potentially reaching 22-25 kpl.
The hybrid model will retain most features of the regular SUV.
Scorpio Lifestyler: April 2027
The recently unveiled Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler pickup truck will go on sale in India in April 2027. It promises an intriguing design and a feature-rich cabin, including:
- Dual-zone climate control
- Large portrait-style infotainment screen
- Digital driver’s display
- Ventilated seats
- Single-pane sunroof
- Level 2 ADAS
Based on a new, next-generation ladder-frame chassis, the Scorpio Lifestyler will offer both 4×4 and 4×2 variants. Manual and automatic gearboxes will also be available.
Mahindra Vision S: Early 2027
The Vision S, one of Mahindra’s most anticipated new SUV launches, is expected early in 2027. Built on the NU_IQ platform, the Vision S will offer various powertrain options, including petrol, diesel, and electric variants (with a hybrid powertrain possibly coming later).
The SUV will boast a tall stance, a bold design, and a modern, technology-rich interior. Features like a large infotainment screen, panoramic sunroof, level 2 ADAS, and more are in the pipeline.
Mahindra BE07: Mid-2027
Mahindra is also developing an electric SUV larger than the BE6, expected to launch mid-2027. This model will feature a more upright and practical design, incorporating:
