VinFast, one of the youngest brands in the Indian market, entered the scene last year with two electric SUVs. The Vietnamese brand is expanding its presence and introducing more EVs to the market, many of which are already popular globally. Along with recent launches like the VinFast MPV7 and its cab services, here’s a look at three upcoming electric cars from VinFast set to hit Indian shores.
VF3
VinFast VF3 is a micro SUV with a retro-inspired design, targeted at urban buyers. It’s a compact city EV ideal for navigating busy roads and tight lanes. The VF3’s exterior harkens back to classic designs, while its interior offers minimalism with basic features. International variants come with 18.64 kWh, 29.6 kWh, or 37.2 kWh battery packs, offering ranges of up to 326 km.
VF5
The VF5 is a compact electric SUV slotting between the VF3 and VF6. It’s a sub-4-metre SUV rivaling models like the Tata Nexon.ev, Mahindra XUV400, and MG Windsor EV. The VF5 boasts a stylish exterior with signature V-shaped LED DRLs, sleek headlamps, and 17-inch alloy wheels. Its cabin features a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, PM 2.5 air filter, keyless entry, automatic headlights, and a sunroof. It will be offered with 29.6 kWh or 37.23 kWh battery packs.
VF8
VinFast recently filed a design patent for the VF8 in India, suggesting a potential launch soon. This electric SUV adopts VinFastās new āTech Fluidā design philosophy and comes with aggressive lines and distinctive LED DRLs. It has a spacious cabin with a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, column-mounted shifter, voice assistant, dual-zone climate control, air purification system, powered front seats, reclining rear seats, a 360-degree camera, ADAS, and an eight-speaker audio system.
