One segment of motorcycles that is gaining popularity in India is the neo-retro motorcycle segment. Today, we have a number of options in this segment. However, bikemakers in India are gearing up for the launch of several more neo-retro motorcycles in the country. So, without any delay, here are the details of the upcoming neo-retro motorcycles in India.
Honda CB500 – New 500cc Retro Roadster
Honda has already unveiled the CB500 in India as part of its new motorcycle portfolio. The neo-retro roadster takes its design inspiration from motorcycles such as the CB350 and larger CB750. It is expected to be positioned above the CB350 in Honda’s line-up.
The motorcycle gets a conventional retro design with:
- A round LED headlamp
- LED turn indicators
- A large teardrop-shaped fuel tank
- Metal mudguards
It also features:
- Telescopic front forks
- Twin rear shock absorbers
- Disc brakes at both ends
Power comes from an all-new 501cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine, capable of producing 27 PS and 43.3 Nm of torque. The motorcycle will be manufactured in India and is expected to launch soon.
Honda Rebel 300 – Bobber with E-Clutch
The Honda Rebel 300 will stand out from the CB500 with its bobber-style design:

- Round LED headlamp
- Circular TFT instrument cluster
- Two-piece seat
- Short exhaust
Powered by a 286cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, it will make 30 PS and 27.5 Nm of torque. Honda is expected to offer both standard and E-Clutch versions, allowing riders to shift gears without manually operating the clutch lever. Localised for India, the Rebel 300 could launch soon.
Honda Rebel 500 – Bigger Bobber
The Honda Rebel 500 is another upcoming motorcycle with a bobber design but a larger engine. Previously sold in India as a CBU model, it is now expected to return with around 50 per cent localised components.
With a 471cc parallel-twin engine, it will produce 46 PS and 43.3 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox. The Rebel 500 is also expected to come available with Honda’s E-Clutch technology.
Triumph Bonneville 400 – Classic Design for India
Triumph is working on a smaller Bonneville model for the Indian market, spotted testing several times. It is expected to compete with motorcycles like the Honda CB350 and Royal Enfield Classic 350.
The motorcycle will boast:

- Round LED headlamp
- Clear-lens LED indicators
- Chrome-finished elements
Powered by a 349cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine, it will make 29 PS and 32 Nm of torque.
